Melissa Trottier is a professional colourist with a strong foundation in photography, lighting, and visual storytelling. After years behind the camera, she transitioned into colour grading, bringing a photographer’s eye and a deep sensitivity to mood, tone, and narrative into every project.
Her work focuses on creating intentional, emotionally resonant images—colour that supports story, elevates performance, and feels lived-in rather than overworked. She’s especially drawn to projects that are bold, intimate, and visually precise.
Melissa’s award-winning photographic work has been published in art and lifestyle magazines, as well as commissioned by organizations including VIA Rail Canada and Whistler Blackcomb. That experience continues to inform her colour work, grounding it in real-world production, lighting realities, and creative collaboration.
Based in Squamish, British Columbia, she works with clients locally and internationally and is always open to travel.
